Frequently asked questions
Everything about testing, supplementation, subscriptions, and what Nuuto does (and doesn't) do.
Getting started
How is Nuuto different from a multivitamin?
A multivitamin gives everyone the same formula. Nuuto starts by testing your levels, builds a plan around them, and adjusts it after every re-test — so what you take always reflects where you actually are.
Do I need to stop my current supplements?
Yes — ideally three weeks before your test, so your results show your true baseline. If a supplement was prescribed by a medical professional, check with them first.
What if my results are already optimal?
If you ordered the single test, you get your money back — you only pay if your results show personalised supplementation would be useful. The offer applies once per customer, so it can't be reused after cancelling and re-subscribing.
What if my levels become optimal as a subscriber?
That's the goal. You can stop at the end of your plan's period — or many stay on and switch to the Maintenance plan: supplements continue, and a check-up test every 6 months confirms your levels are holding.
Is the at-home test safe?
Yes. It's designed for home use, takes about 15 minutes, and comes with clear instructions. Your sample is analysed by an accredited laboratory.
How long until my sachets arrive?
Once your results are in and your plan is set, your sachets are produced and dispatched within a few days. From posting your test to opening your first sachets is typically two to three weeks.
What does the test measure?
Nine key biomarkers: vitamins A, D and E, plus calcium, copper, magnesium, manganese, selenium, and zinc. Together they give a clear picture of where supplementation would be useful — and where it wouldn't.
Why doesn't the panel include iron, B12, or omega-3?
We only test what we can test reliably at home and act on within food-supplement limits. Iron can't be measured dependably with this sampling method, so we leave it out rather than guess. B12 is covered — it's part of the B-complex in your sachets. Omega-3 we've chosen not to include for now.
How it works
Why are there morning and evening sachets?
Some nutrients compete for absorption when taken together; others are better utilised overnight. The split gives each one its best window — it's built into your plan automatically.
Will my first sachets be the right dose?
Not exactly — and that's deliberate. Your first plan starts at a safe, conservative baseline, and each re-test refines the dose based on how your body responded. Every cycle gets more accurate.
Does my plan change with the seasons?
It can. Vitamin D needs are typically higher in winter, for example, so Nuuto accounts for the season when generating each cycle.
What happens if I miss a day?
Nothing dramatic — just continue the next day. Consistency over time matters far more than any single day.
Can I see my test results?
Yes. Your results, and how they shaped your plan, live in your account — so you can follow the changes from cycle to cycle.
Quality and safety
Is Nuuto a medical service?
No. Nuuto is a food-based service under EU food supplement regulations — we don't diagnose, treat, or prevent disease. If you have a medical condition, talk to your healthcare professional.
How do I know this is worth it?
Every cycle ends with a re-test, so you see exactly what changed and why your plan was adjusted. The value is the feedback loop — not a bigger dose, a more accurate one.
Can I take Nuuto alongside medication?
Nuuto supplements are food supplements, not medicines. If you take prescription medication, we still recommend checking with your doctor before starting a new routine.
Where are the supplements made?
All our supplements are made in Europe, in EU-certified facilities, and comply with EU food supplement regulations.
What about the quality of the supplements?
Quality over quantity. We choose each nutrient in a form your body absorbs well — the market is full of cheap forms the body absorbs poorly, and everything in your sachet should count.
What's physically in a sachet?
Capsules and gel capsules — each form carefully chosen for how well your body absorbs that nutrient. Every sachet is printed with its contents, so you always see what you're taking.
Can I use Nuuto while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes — nutrient needs change during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and your plan adjusts for it. It's important to tell us in the quiz or your account so the adjustment is applied. As always with supplements during pregnancy, we recommend keeping your midwife or doctor informed.
Privacy and data
What happens to my data?
It's stored encrypted on Swedish servers and used for one thing: calculating and improving your plan. We never sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
Is my data safe?
We follow GDPR by default — encrypted at rest and in transit, access limited to the team members who need it, with regular security audits. You can export or delete your data at any time from your account.
Does anyone outside Nuuto see my personal details?
No more than absolutely necessary. Some partners need a piece of the picture — the lab analysing your sample, for example — but your data is segmented and pseudonymised, so they see an ID number, never your name or details. Our own database is encrypted and segmented the same way, so even in the unlikely event of a breach, no single piece of data could identify you.
What happens to my blood sample?
It's analysed by our partner lab in Switzerland for the markers in your plan, then destroyed in line with EU lab waste regulations. It's never stored, sold, or used for research.
Who can see my results?
You, and the Nuuto team members directly responsible for your plan. Our medical advisory board only ever sees aggregated, anonymised data — your individual results are never shared with third parties.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes, anytime, from your account settings. We permanently remove everything within 30 days, keeping only the anonymised, aggregated records EU regulation requires.
Subscription and plans
Can I cancel?
Yes — plans run in terms that match their testing cycle: the 6-month plan renews in 6-month terms, the 3-month plan in 3-month terms, and Intensive rolls month to month. You can cancel before any renewal, and Intensive before any billing date.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes — you can pause deliveries from your account. Your current term still applies, so pausing shifts your deliveries rather than shortening it.
When does billing start?
When you subscribe, and the price is the same every month. Testing, lab analysis, and sachets are all averaged into one flat monthly cost — so there's nothing extra to pay when a test month comes around.
Which plan should I choose?
Most people start with Standard for regular follow-up every 3 months. Maintenance suits stable levels with a check-up every 6 months; Intensive is for short-term, closer monitoring.
How often do I need to test?
It depends on your plan — every 3 months on Standard, every 6 on Maintenance, and monthly on Intensive.
What's included in the subscription?
Everything: at-home testing, personalised morning and evening sachets, monthly delivery, and ongoing adjustments based on your results. No hidden fees.
Do you ship internationally?
We ship across Europe, and we're working on more regions.
